When and where?

There's a time and place for everything, but fighting isn't one of them. At school it's not okay to fight but a majority of mlb(Major leauge Baseball) players get into fights but they don't get in trouble. Even after they make all the money in each game. They still go and fight instead of the money and their career, but at school you can't fight. But is there really a time a place to fight and when not? You think about it? - Chinoo

Dance contest

There is going to be a dance tomorrow morning at 8:00 to 8:30. Students at Castro will be dancing in the gym showing what they got. The winner in tomorrow’s dance will get an awesome prize. And the people that care to go and support their friends and cheer them on.

Dance Competition

There are six people competing. There are three 8th graders and two 7th graders and a 6th grader. The 8th and 7th graders are boys and the 6th grader is a girl and I think she’s the best dancer. The finals are tomorrow in the morning in the gym. We will see who is the best dancer in school. We all want to know who will win!

Report Taggings

The current events that are currently happening in Castro are that they are a lot of tagging in the property of the school. So the school board has awarded money for who ever is honest about the person that tags. If you report any information you might get free money for iTunes. You’ll help the school and yourself.

Working Together and Friends

Castro friends and classmates work together to achieve their goals. They do that by working in groups helping each other and trusting each other. Friends are the key to life. You got a friend in me.

Trash Throughout school

Trash at our school is major nuisance outside and in the school building. Wrappers, bags and water bottles are some of the type of litter not including chips and other food that are seemingly everywhere often. Continuing into the field the litter spreads by wind thus making it harder to pick up and the area is larger than what it was before. Sadly efforts to corral the trash have failed.

Friendship

Friendship is very important. Friends are always there for you through thick and thin but some of them aren’t. In life friends come and go but true friends are always there for you. They’re there at school or anywhere else and you always have someone to hang out with.

Not Enough Time

We need more batnroom time. Not every kid can do their buisness in two or three minutes. There's a lot of kids go through, a lot of pain when they're waiting for the other person to come back. That's why teachers should also let two people go at the same time.

Advice

What do you do when you do something bad to someone and you never got to say sorry?

-- Doing something bad can always make you feel guilty. but even though you don't really feel like letting your pride go and just apologizing, you still gotta realize that if you don't, what goes around comes around, and dreading it every single night . Plus the thing is if they find out otherwise, they'll feel even worst because they'll know the worst part is that they weren't even worth the truth . muchellaaa & mucheeellll :)
"Well, it's never late to say sorry. It depends what you also did because that affected the person. If it's a person that you hardly know then make things right and introduce yourself. If it's a friend then call it up. People yet again say sorry at the wrong time like three years later. That's when it's too late until you guys meet again.

Advice

My mom really gets mad at me sometimes and I don’t know why. I want to yell and scream at her, but I know that will make her madder. What should I do?

You should just walk away and not talk back to her. Just lock yourself in your room. Maybe later when she’s not mad you should ask why she’s always yelling at you. But if she asked you to do something like then just do it right away.

Well sometimes as being a parent they have stress on work or just didn't get enough sleep . If it comes to a point like that just play it cool . It happens to me & what I do is just warm up do some thing for her like massage her legs to feet or just let her chill for a little then say don't yell because it makes me feel bad when I hadn't done anything wrong.

Thanksgiving Week

Last week was Thanksgiving week. It was so awesome, we only had 2 days of school. Luckily for me I didn't go on Tuesday. On Thursday I ate a lot of turkey. It was the best turkey I had ever had. On Sunday I thought ugh tomorrow we have school. well at least I had fun for a while. Oh yeah on Sunday I saw Paranormal Activity 2.

The CIA has come closer to capturing or killing Osama bin Laden's top deputy than was previously known, during a nine-year hunt at the root of a devastating 2009 suicide bombing at an agency base in Afghanistan, The Associated Press has learned.

The CIA missed a chance to nab Ayman al-Zawahiri in 2003 in the northwest Pakistani city of Peshawar, where he met with another senior al-Qaida leader who was apprehended the next day, several current and former U.S. intelligence officials said.

The fugitive Egyptian doctor may also have narrowly survived a bombing by Pakistani military planes in 2004, the former and current officials said. And a well-publicized U.S. missile strike aimed at him in 2006 failed because he did not turn up at the attack site, they said.

Assembly on Friday

Last Friday, we had an assembly that left many people emotional. A quest speaker, Calvin Terrell, came and talked about that we all had to be warriors. Most people have changed since then and are making things better. He was a really powerful speaker and even left us in tears. The part i thought was most moving was when he made us experience a story in our mind about us going to the state fair with the people we most love. After that, i was scared to go to the state fair and to think that that can really happen. Anyways, he was a really good speaker and made us become warriors. It was great to have him come to our school.

Friday's Assembly!!!

Last Friday was a very emotional day for us students here at Castro. Castro's speaker was Calvin Terrell. Mr Terrell is an eye-opening speaker that had everyone crying! Terrell made everyone notice how bad people fell when they are being bullied. Terrell also made some very realistic and imaginable stories that are unbelievable but also true. Calvin Terrell also made a really good point out of racism. Many people thanked Terrell at the end and realized how hurtful they can be.

Calvin Terrell

Well last Fridays assembly was an emotional event for the eighth grade. The words Calvin Terrell spoke made many tear up and realize how ignorant people around the world are becoming, and in our campus as well. He expanded our thoughts in a way no one expected, and in doing that he made us see things through a different perspective. We saw a side of our staff and peers we had never seen before and ever since that day Raul H. Castro Middle School changed forever.
